How It All Started
Dave and Kelly Keller, both graduates of California State University, Chico, are the founders of Crest & Compass Marketing. Dave, a Sigma Chi, brings expertise in digital transformation, information systems, and alumni community building, alongside a career spanning cybersecurity and ERP with Big 4 consulting firms. Kelly, a fifth-generation member of Robert Young Estate Vineyards, is a Certified Sommelier (WSET 3, and soon to be WSET 4 diploma) and wine industry leader with decades of experience in marketing, events, and operations.
Together, they created Crest & Compass Marketing to connect fraternity, sorority, university and high school alumni with trusted, alumni-owned businesses worldwide. Inspired by their cross-country travels and lifelong commitment to community, the platform combines destination, affiliate, and channel marketing to help users discover restaurants, hotels, shops, and more—all while strengthening alumni networks.
Dave’s deep involvement in Sigma Chi—as Province Director, former Chapter Advisor, alumni leader, mentor, and Risk Management OTA faculty member—reflects his passion for fostering brotherhood and leadership. Kelly’s proven track record in wine and hospitality adds a unique dimension to the venture. Both share a commitment to integrity, security, and creating meaningful connections that enrich travel and lifestyle experiences."
